  • We of Christchurch
    Worn and tired
    Soldiers by natures hand
    Have endured heartache
    Sorrow, tragedy
    Have endured more than most can bare.

    There is more than just a journey before us
    But a fight that will take years to end
    A fight to rebuild a better city
    To build better friendships, community.

    A fight to rebuild in a way of memory
    So that the past is not forgotten.
    We as a people must learn from our mistakes
    So that history will never be repeated

    We must endure this battle before us
    So that we can build a new city together
    One built without regret and in unity
    A city that our future can smile upon.
