The Enjoy Life Initiative (Also in poem form!)

Hey everyone!!! Remeber this? Enjoy Life – By Matty Angel
I have been talking with many people today, up and down the country! For what I am calling the Enjoy Life Initiative, an initiative that I hope will catch on! For people up and down this country of New Zealand and maybe else where to! To head out with their children or even alone, with chalk! And draw fun, amazing, interesting, exciting things that will make people smile.
I am going to call these spaces energy spaces, spaces of positive, happy energy, spaces that will get people moving and spaces that will cheer up the world, even for just a day!! Things that will engage people, such as hopping and skipping and jumping. Things that will make people WANT to go for a walk, and will make walking home form school more enjoyable! To make a world we have turned grey and dull into a colourful, wonderful, exciting… place!
We as people, especially children… should be enjoying life, nothing should be seen as a chore. Why can’t what we do daily be fun? Why can’t we smile at every little sound? Should not even the simplest of things be something of an amazing spectacle? After-all this world has been built upon the foundation of child’s play, right?!
My goal is to brighten up the world, And so I ask you all to join me, Matty Angel, in this Enjoy Life initiative, lets make these energy spaces and together, lets enjoy life!

We as people big and small
Have forgotten about
Life’s Enjoyment…
We live in boxes,
Eat from them to…
We all drive cars
And walking…
Well what’s that?We no longer jump
Skip and twirl…
We are bound up inside
In front of screens so infiniteSo I have a plan
A dream you could say
Join me!
And together…
We can make this happen!Lets all grab chalk
The the colours of the rainbow!
Lets go outside
And cheer up our grey worldLets make walking fun
Make our cities smile
Lets change the way we see the world
From boring to exciting!
About The Author
Matty is a 36 year old girl who is an Autistic Poet, Writer and Artist and lives alone in Christchurch New Zealand with a kitty! Matty has given many talks on autism and about being unique in a world that's often not accepting, Matty has also engaged with artist and worked on Art projects Matty usually works on an Art project at the same time as a writing one! This means posts can be a bit delayed!
