The Cats Adventure

  • NB: I found this in the void folder and I thought it was really cute. I don’t know if its on my website somewhere… but I couldn’t find it. Wonder why I didn’t publish this one… or when I wrote it!

    The Cats Adventure

From the stormy world I walked,
    Into the house of waramth,
    Looking up I shivered cold,
At a girl with the scent of love.

Meow, in a quiver I went with a sigh,
Then in hope of help I edged closer with love,
This person I knew was different to the last,
She won’t hurt me, I can tell, she has a smile…

I began to rub my head, just upon her side,
She began to look down and then she knelt,
Oh, her hands, so warm when it’s cold,
She scratched my back, my ears and she laughed.

I let out a purr, as she opened a door, then…
Out of no where, food and milk!
I meowed in happiness, as she smiled in love,
My senses were right, I knew I could trust.

The girl began to pat me again,
Then soon on her lap I lay.
Near a fire, so warm and bright,
Till the morning came, and the Storm had gone.

So off I went just as I had come
The girl said goodbye with one last pat.
On an adventure to where, I don’t know
But how lucky it is, that I am a cat.
