NB: I wrote this when the weather was REALLY bad but had no site to post it on then!
The Stormy Monster
Out side in the dark
There were howls and growls
Monstrous in sound
Terrifying and loud.Scared and worried Matty
Didn’t know what they were
So she hid under her blankets
Huddled up in a ball.Were these the noises of monsters?
Perhaps even aliens?
It was to dark to see…
To dark to be sure.She consulted with her Kitty
The most wise of all
But her kitty was worried too…
Looking outside just as she was.There was only one thing to do…
One thing that could be done.
She would have to venture outside
And face whatever lurked!So she put on her jacket
And wrapped up so warm
She took a big breath
And she opened the door…“YOU THERE MONSTERS!”
She said in a shout…
“Why are you at my house…
Growing and howling!”But as she shouted
She realized the truth
There were no monsters
No aliens at all.What she saw was even scarier
More terrifying than her fears
What she saw made her gulp
And shut the door again quickly
It was a storm!
LOUD and NOISY
The wind was what was howling!
The rain and snow what was growling.And why was this scarier?
More terrifying than her fears?
Because no longer did she worry about herself
But now all her friends as well.Stay safe everyone,
She said….
Stay Warm…
Be brave…
And soon it will be over,
Just please take care.Love Matty
