People… (poem)

  • NB: Wrote this for myself.

    People

    In this world people can be cruel.
    Monstrous and evil
    Out to only hurt…
    But we have to remember,
    For all that are bad…
    There are good people out there
    I know this for a fact.

    And if we remember this
    That not all are so mean…
    We can remember to show kindness
    To show love and empathy
    We can stop ourselves turning bitter
    Becoming something hateful…

    So remember when you are hurt by people
    When you are in the darkest of places
    To not lose hope in everyone…
    For they are just a few of many.
