Another Overload (Autism Poem-Drawing)

  • I began writing this at Art Group and finished it here at home. Its another poem to describe and explain what Overloads are like for me. I want to make it clear I am talking about myself, I don’t know what they are like for others because I am me and they are them.

I also want to give special thanks to all my friends, fans and readers… you all help me achieve so much and that means a lot to me.

And sorry for the multiple notifications of posts these last days, I hope no one minds!!!

wow that’s a beautiful poem, so emotive. so easy to read cos it draws you in and uses language i can understand which i appreciate!
i’m so impressed by the rhyming, i don’t know how people manage that, let alone expressing emotions and feelings like that. amazing, Matty :). i feel like it gives me a little insight into what it’s like for you.

  • I’m so proud of you, because I know it’s difficult to share such personal feelings. Yet my heart is also saddened by the fact that you have to deal with this kind of painful stress and anxiety in your life. Please continue to share with us your life, help teach us about the difficulties that those of us who do not deal with autism can better understand how you see the world. Your words are always inspirational, thank you for sharing.
    *sends big hugs* 😀

  • *hugs Matty tightly wishing the pain away* Don’t forget Matty, I am here if you want to talk.

  • Thank you Matty for helping me to understand what ‘overload’ feels like for you. Your description makes it possible for me to KNOW. This must be very uncomfortable and I will try very hard to not bring on ‘overload’ for you or anyone else with autism. Keep up the good work by sharing the way you do! Many hugs!!!

  • Matty, this is a beautifully written piece.
I hope that you know how talented and special you are.
Sending you wishes for rest, peace and lots of happy times.
