The Present Dilemma (Children’s Story – Happy Birthday Pip)

NB: Today I celebrated one of my best friends birthdays! Pip! She is such a great cool friend! I gave her a few presents, a birthday card… a poem… and a beautiful picture of us together. However I also wrote this silly story! To make Pip laugh and add a MattyLand-explanation of just how it is I came up with what gift to give her (The Photo). Â I hope you all enjoy it!Â
I know I said Children’s story but its really a Matty-Story 🙂
The Present Dilemma
“Matty, MATTY!”
Yelled Zoro Bear
Knower of all the happenings far and near
“Princess Matty…!”
He called again
As he rushed through the doors
Reaching her highness’ throne.“It is time!”
He said so bold
“Our Royal Neighbour
Pip of Piptopia!
Is having a birthday!
Our favourite celebration of all!”Princess Matty stood up from her throne
“A birthday?!” She exclaimed
As a smile grew on her face
“Then we shall celebrate to!
For that’s what friends do!”Princess Matty, Ruler of MattyLand
Called in her royal court!
With Mayor Big Ted taking lead
“Dear friends!” she said
To all who were attending“I have a dilemma
One that’s quite large
Queen Pip of Piptopia
Is having a birthday!
We need presents!!
Some kind of gift
I have no idea what,
Your Ideas are needed!”One Waistcoat bear stood first
“Why the best gift is a waistcoat, of course”
But the Princess Matty shook her head.
“No, a waistcoat is indeed great,
But this is her Royal Highness Pip of Piptopia!
And so she wears royal clothes already
We cannot give her a Waistcoat, no”“hmm” went the group
This was a dilemma indeed.
What gift could be fitting
One of such royalty!Miss Love A Lot Squeaky Paw then stood next
“I know what to give” Said the rather pink Dog
Why its love of course, I give it all the time!
Its truly the best gift
The bestest of all time!Princess Matty shook her head
“No, no, we already give her that!
In fact we give her so much love…
She might turn into a heart if we gaive anymore!”Miss Love a Lot Squeaky Paw agreed
And so back to the “hmm” they went
The group grew quiet for a quick second
Then an unannounced guest spoke up“I Princess Nom Nom…
Booksitting Bagsleeping Fattycat Swishytail the First!
Ruler of the Kingdom of Bedroom…
So strongly suggest…..”
….There was a pause as the waiting group looked on
“DELICIOUS KITTY COOKIES!”Princess Matty quickly greeted her Highness
“Oh Princess Nom Nom, wisest of all…
I do believe that kitty cookies though…
Are best suited… for a kitty”The group nodded.
As her highness began to look rather grump-ed
She just turned around and wandered out
She just hated being not right.The ideas then stopped
There was nothing but the sound of “hmm”
When all of a sudden Zoro Bear stood up…
“I HAVE IT!” he said quite smiley and excitedly“Lets give her a royal photo!
Something so special that no one else can give!!
Lets give her a memory!!!
One that reminds her that MattyLand is an ally
And we will always be here to celebrate with her!!!!”The court was full of cheers
As Princess Matty grinned
“A photo it is!” She said
And at last the dilemma had ended.–
Happy Birthday Pip!
I hope you like your present a lot,
It took a lot of thinking to get it together!
I also hope you enjoyed this silly story and that it made you smile.
