My desktop computer died…

  • Hello everyone,

Tonight my desktop computer died. What this means is that for some time I will be unable to write, skype and various other communications. I do have a laptop so I do still have access to the internet, but it is much harder to use than it was my old desktop.

My desktop was fund-raised for me in 2010, it makes me sad to think that its broken now. It survived so many earthquakes, moving house and even power outages. I wrote so many of my stories and poems on it… I guess its due to pass since it is now 2015. But it hurts.

I have no idea how I will get a new computer or fix it this time. But I am scared… Its one of my primary communication tools so its something I will have to put as a priority.

Will post an update when I have an idea.

    Love Matty

Hi Matty. I’m really sorry about your desktop – I know how you rely on it for so many things. I’d like to make a suggestion of a way you could get back to your writing, etc. without having to buy/get another desktop, or spending too much money. I used to have a desktop, but found it took up a lot of room, so what I have now is my laptop, with a wireless keyboard and mouse (because I really, really dislike the keyboard and mouse on the laptop), and a cheap monitor. You can get the keyboard and mouse for $50-60 and a monitor for around $150, so for not too much money you could use your laptop to have a set up just like your desktop computer. I’d be happy to contribute something towards it for you. Christine
