When you meet a Monster (Poem)

  • NB: Struggling with a horrible monster who messaged me recently. Its caused me great fear, its had me wondering if I should delete my website… Its left me scared and feeling vulnerable. Of all the Monsters I have ever met, this one is the most terrifying of all.

    When you meet a Monster

    When you meet a Monster
    Your life is forever changed,
    A Monsters never leaves you
    They haunt your every thought

    After meeting a monster…
You look over your shoulder a lot
Afraid that they will catch you
And chew your soul right up.

I wish with all my heart
    These monsters would go away
    But they just don’t…
    They never leave…
    Always surrounding you with fear.

Sometimes you think you have outrun them
That at last you are finally safe
But then when all is calm and quiet
    They show their terrible fangs.

    Just go away
    Please go away
    Leave me alone
Monsters should stay in the past
    That’s where they belong.

Be brave and tell the monster to go away. Most of the time that seems to work for me. Writing this poem about it can also be a very empowering act. I hope you feel better and less scared soon.
