Those biggest of big dreams

  • Those biggest of big dreams

When I was a just a little thing
Staring up with the the biggest of big dreams
I let my mind wander so peacefully…

    Of going to space
    Winning a race
    Climbing the biggest tree

    And then I grew
    Oh so big
    One day at a time
    Gradually

And now I stare up with the biggest of big dreams
I let my mind wander so erratically
    Of bills being paid
    Friends being made
    Pains being dull

And so now I wish for those biggest of big dreams
From when I was just a little thing
Just so once again I can let my mind wander…
Just one more time, Peacefully again.

Hugs and hugs, Matty. You just described everybody.

Our dreams are in perspective to how much we know about things. We don’t know much when we’re little so we dream so big. When we get older we know more and mundane things take priority. It’s still ok to dream big and small.
