Meowsy’s favorite toy (Childrens Story/Poem!)

  • NB: At last the ulcers are healed! Well mostly but I feel good enough to write again!!!

    Meowsy’s favorite toy

    Meowsy rolled on the floor
    While staring at his favorite toy
    “So soft, so round
    So beautiful” he thought,
    A ball of yarn
    The most perfect of toys

    He bap the ball with his paw
    And then again
    And again one more
    He chased it as it rolled around
    From room to room
    He went about

    But as it rolled something was happening
    Something Meowsy didn’t understand
    The ball was shrinking…
    “Oh no” the thought
    My ball is disappearing.”

    And then after another tap with his paw
    There suddenly was no ball no more
    And Meowsy meowed a sorrowful meow
    “A disaster!” he said in a meowish tone

    But a nearby person
    Who heard this meow
    Came to investigate…
    “Oh whats wrong” they said loud

    They saw the ball stretched across the room!
    No longer a ball but a long line of wool

    “I can solve this” said the person with a smile
    Patting Meowsy and then getting to work.

    Slowly they rolled up the long line of wool
    And wrapping it carefully
    A ball came to.
    and as Meowsy watched
    He let out a happy purr.

    The most perfect of toys
    Was back once more.

    The person placed it beside Meowsy
    And gave them a little talk.

    “Sometimes there is such a thing
    As playing a bit to much,
    Remember to care for your toys
    Or they just might run out”

    But Meowsy wasn’t listening
    As they rolled on the floor again
    Staring at this favorite toy

    “So soft, so round
    So beautiful” he thought,
    A ball of yarn
    The most perfect of toys

    I’m glad your feeling better 😀😀 I have an ulcer at the top of my stomach that acts up from time to time. It’s not fun when it does!!
