Wishful Prose – A letter written to a friend (Possibly poem-ish!)

  • I have a famous writer friend, (actually a few) but this one in particular, we email in wishful prose. And this was mine today. Usually we promise never to share what is written but I was given permission from said famous author that sometimes sharing is the best expression.

wishful prose being more poetic than regular chatter 🙂 but not full on poetry as its conversing!

    – Dear ___

I dare not utter words of sorrow
For only ill can come of it.

In this time of darkness that swallows me whole,
I find myself thinking to great lengths on endurance.

On the spark of life that encourages a spirit…
A Spark that lights such dark times
    One of strength and courage,
A Spark that keeps such sorrow at bay.

    I cling to this thought,
    Today… especially
As I can almost taste the darkness
And its very foul stench is stronger than before.

I promise to you now dear friend,
    As I have promised before,
    I will continue
    Bravery will be found
    And I shall endure.

    Love Matty Angel
