The Waiting Cat

  • The Waiting Cat

    The cat was waiting
    She knew it was time
    Her eyes were fixed
    As she licked her lips

    Then her ears twitched
As she dashed to the bowl
    Her wait was over
    As the food was poured

    She then pushed her head
    As deep as she could
    Eating and eating
    Till it was all gone.

    Then back she went
    To her favorite spot
    She curled up
    As she waited once more.
