Update on everything.

  • So Princess Nom Nom has healed well, I have begun a referral for her to get Radioiodine Treatment so that we can help her with her thyroid so we can stop medicating her each day and upsetting her.

I recently had the person I think of as my Mom visit all the way from Alaska. It was so wonderful. I don’t know if I will get to see her again in my life time, but I truly appreciate the opportunity I have had to spend some time with her. It has kept me busy though and has meant I am not writing so much. I have much to catch up on.

Lastly I want to talk about my own existence. Lately I am facing the questions of if certain health conditions cannot be fixed… do I want to live with them. Its a very difficult question to think on… I apologize to anyone who I upset with this question, it is not my intention. I just wanted to put down where I am right now in my thoughts.

    Much Love

Hi Matty, I am so pleased that Princess Nom Nom has been referred for this treatment. Read up on it and it has a very high success rate which is wonderful news.

I followed your adventures with your Alaskan Mom on Twitter. It is a shame she could only stay for such a short time but it seems she has left you with some wonderful memories. It must have been hard on you when she left.

You are questioning your ability to live with certain health conditions. You wouldn’t be the first person to do this. Living with chronic illnesses can be a battle but it can be one that you can overcome. People tell us we are strong and that is true most of the time but sometimes our vulnerabilities overshadow this strength. And that’s okay because we can’t always be strong. That is when we need to find ways to help us cope and what works for me may not work for you. Therefore I am not going to make suggestions except for one: reach out to your friends for support. I think that works for everyone. Share how you feel with those you trust, those who have helped you in the past. They know you best. If they have helped you in the past, they can help you again because they obviously love and care about you.

I don’t have all the answers but I hope this helps.

    Much love

  • I’m so glad that Princess Nom Nom is doing well.

As with anything in life, you only need to decide about the next day.

    Take care, hugs.

  • How cool is that she came all the way from Alaska. I’m glad you were able to spend time together. It is a special thing.
