A visitor to Earth.
I gazed upon the ruins
The remnants of man
All that they were
Just faded memories and death
They saw what was coming
But chose arrogance and greed
Time slowly consumed them,
Till it was too late to act

I think your poem is realistic if we continue to regard climate change as a fallacy. Great insight into what could happen.
