Bullying Hurts , (Anti Bullying, Teens/Children) Poem

  • NB: A poem written/commissioned by/for Kapiti College, It was used during Pink Shirt Day

    Bullying hurts

    Bullying hurts others
    In ways we cannot see
    It leaves invisible scars
    They sometimes never heal

    If we act now
We can save so many tears
    All we have to do
    Is be more aware

We must remember to be kind
    Even when facing troubles,
    Showing we are strong
    By Understanding others.

    Changing our attitudes
    Especially in how we see
    Acknowledging the similarities
    That connect you and me

So lets treat each other as equals
    Showing compassion and care
Creating the world we want to live in
Instead of one we can’t repair.

  • You have a good way with words.

  • Such a beautiful poem. Bullying causes so much harm. My favourite verse is the last one. If we all did this, what a wonderful world we would have.
