My Paintings and Art!

  • Now! As many of you know I am a very creative person… not just with cooking and writing, but I like to paint and draw to!

Some of my art work has been in galleries before, I know one painting sold for 400 dollars (That is kind of neat) and I actually have no idea where most of them are! I tend to throw things away… or give them away because I think they are ugly. It takes a while for art to grow on me!

Now I will be honest, I can’t paint often as canvas and paints are expensive…. and I don’t have records of all my paintings… If anyone knows where or has seen where my paintings have ended up please contact me and let me know! It would be great to hear about where they are and how they got there!

I have painted over 100 in my life time so far… but I have only 2 on my walls here at my house. I am very critical of my own work, I think I am horrible at everything… but… they do have a piece of me in the paintings. As for drawings… well I have drawn so many I lost count!

I should point out that all my paintings have something written on the backs of them. Generally to say how I was feeling at the time I painted them, or to give a message.

I really hope you all enjoy these paintings and drawings!

I enjoy drawing with crayons, they are fun, don’t make scratchy sounds, and cheer up the world

My favorite is the one of the man in the hat.

  • Hi Matty, it’s lovely seeing your artwork and reading your stories. I’m the mum of a 12 year old aspergers boy. My son Reuben who was only diagnosed this year, is exceptionally talented at art and music. It is so nice to know, after reading your life story in ‘Widening Horizons’ CCS Aug 2012 issue, you are finally receiving the support and understanding you need to reach your potential and lead a fulfilling and secure life. You are an inspiration, well done Matty.

  • I love all of this. It’s very inspiring not just for young people but all of us!!
