Just… Wow

  • NB: I just wanted to share a very special achievement with you all. Its not the first time I have done something social like this 🙂 But it is the first time in a long time… and my first time playing boardgames.

    Just… Wow

    To some its something small
    Insignificant and unimportant
    Another event in their long lives
    One of many that will come and go

    But for me…
    Well…
    Its a triumph
    A cause for celebrating!
    Something so marvellous… so miraculous!
    That it will strike those that know me with awe.

    That is Socializing,
    Meeting people unfamiliar!
    Being in a room with quite a few people!
    And playing boardgames… My first ever…

    And even now,
    As I sit here in thought
    Dwelling upon the day that’s been
    I can’t believe that it was me…
    That is was me who did all these things.

    Good job Matty!!! Your moving forward! Toward an even happier future! Sometimes things that used to be scary aren’t anymore because we have changed so much, but we forget to try them and see if we’re ok with some things because we assume we feel the same. But then we learn that “Hey! It’s OK!” and we realize we aren’t even the same person we were years ago when some things scared us and it’s different now! I have experienced that myself actually with having had depression years ago and anxiety problems. But some things I used to avoid doing, I really enjoy now! So happy for you Sugar! HUGS!
