Lockdown (Just thoughts/poem)

  • Lockdown

    Here I am in lockdown
To help defeat I virus I pray I never meet…
I am alone though in this quiet.
And its as if I am the last person alive

I hear no sounds of cars on the road,
No children heading home from school
My neighbors don’t seem to make any noise
    Its all a bit eerie

A distant dog barks in the distance
And it reminds me the world is still out there somewhere
But for now I know I must stay in my bubble
Take precautions from this invisible enemy.

Leave things to better people than I
And hope collectively a solution is found
Then perhaps some kind normality will return.
Though I think the world will be forever different than it was.

Hang in there and know you are doing your part. There’s no lockdown here in the US but I’m also staying home because so many people aren’t doing their part and it’s worse for it. Stay healthy and safe, lil sis. *hug*

  • What a year…. you explained it well.

  • It will eventually get better. It’s something we are all trying to deal with in all countries. It’s real, it’s dangerous and it can be deadly. We need to take the proper precautions and keep ourself and others safe… Hugs
