I am told I have something called Autism

  • NB: thinking about stuff after talk with a specialist.

I am told I have something called Autism

I am told I have something called Autism
    Its a really strange thing…
It apparently means my brain is different
    Something about wiring

This means that I function differently…
And not always at my best
    I find noises overwhelming
    So much gets me stressed.

    My anxiety is always high
And I hit my head sometimes
Often I will loose my words
And find understanding hard at times.

But even with this Autism thing
I am still a human being
And Disabilities do not define me
There just a small piece of what is me.

  • Actually, everybody’s brain is different. That’s not to underestimate how much some folks have to work against. But you’re strong, Matty! Grrr!
