My new writing desk and other good news!!!!

  • Hello everyone!! I know I have not posted much lately and so I thought I would fill you in on why and what it is exactly, I am up to!

Lately I was invited and tasked with writing a story for one of the next issues of the CCS Disability Action – Widening Horizons magazine. I decided to take up this task and was asked to write something about a milestone in my life, or a life transition.

I chose the theme of Accepting Help, which has been one of the hardest achivements in my life so far and over the last two weeks I crafted and wrote a story so personal to me, it left me drained, tired… upset… and I think confused… thinking on life in a way that I had not done so, in a very long time.

My story was submitted 2 days ago and it has been accepted! So that will be published soon! I will post more about that when I know more!

Now the cool news! I got a new writing desk!!! My wonderful friend and her husband got me a new desk and I have been setting that up! Its been a long process, especially deciding on the right spots for all my friends! Some of these friends you have met in my stories and some you have not!  Many of them are earthquake refugees! 🙂 I am glad they have a home with me now!

I am so proud with how it looks now though! Especially when I discovered lost art work… The lava-lamp was a present given to me for my birthday by one of my friends. Thanks everyone, if you notice anything on my desk you have given me feel free to add it in the comments if you want the world to know!

So here are the pictures of my new writing station! The art work on the wall is my own, and I found them while unpacking some old boxes and  sorry for the blurry photos, I don’t have a great camera.

Lets hope with this new work station I can write more!
