The path I’m on

  • I don’t know how long there is to go
The path I’m on is very long…
But it seems to get narrow, sometimes wide…
It always seems to change in size.

Sometimes the path is full of cracks…
It can be fearful to stride these bits
Jumping at times can cure this…
Fearful I am of it breaking to bits.

The color is always confusing too…
At times its golden, hopeful and bright
Other times dark, old full of fright,
Faded, tired, aged and in a prayer
It seems to change without a thought or care

I don’t know how long there is to go
The path I’m on is very long…
My body, my legs and my eyes and soul
They are getting tired… So heavy…
How much more can I go? I do not know.
