I AM NOT….

  • NB: I wrote this while at the park today :)! Its not a sad poem, not a happy poem, it just is, what it is… I sometimes think all those I have to deal with, organizations and government agencies forget that I am a person and not just a number on a page.

    I AM NOT

    I am not a number
    A statistic for your charts
    I am not an object
    A test subject to be pulled apart
    I am not an exhibit
    A creature to be put on show
    I am not another piece of paper
    A being without a soul
    I am an individual
    A human being just like you
    Please remember all these things
    When my papers go across your desk
