The Secret Series – 1 – Daisy the Puppy

NB: This is the first secret of the secret series, its the tales of secrets that animals have shared with me! This secret is from a puppy called daisy, and she had a lot to say! Especially about Tennis balls, but we had this wonderful chat, and she told me a secret… I met daisy when I went around to give her a walk for my friend Pip. I hope to see Daisy soon!

The Secret Series – Daisy the Puppy
My name is Daisy,
I am fluffy and white
I am a puppy
And I love tennis balls a lot!I am here to share with you
A secret you must not share with anyone!
But it is such a big embarrassing secret,
I just can’t keep it to myself any more!My big secret,
Now remember you cannot tell anyone!
Is that I actually like cats,
And one is my best friendHer name is Lulu,
She is white and black,
She likes to play with walnuts
And curl up next to me to sleep!Now if you didn’t know
This is  not normal for us puppies…
Actually it is seen as bad under puppy law,
That is why you cannot tell anyone.You see normally we chase cats
Usually up trees!
And sometimes we bark at them
To make them run so far away…But not me, not me at all,
I love being around cats so much
I even help lick them clean, though Lulu doesn’t always want my help…
But I do anyway, because I’m a great friend.So next time you hear that all dogs hate cats
Or that us puppy’s think cats are toys…
Please know that its not always true,
And that some us Dogs love cats a bunch.

I think you are on to something here Matty. I think that MOST dogs might actually like cats and that they just pretend not to like them! All our dogs have had kitty friends but when we take the dog for a walk he “pretends” he wants to chase other cats… :O)
I’m glad you shared Daisy’s secret with us. It’s true, it’s very hard for a dog to admit they like cats. Cats are so full of smells, good for sniffing, and my Abi cat like to clean dogs ears.
