Waiting… waiting… waiting

  • Waiting… waiting… waiting

    I stand and wait
    With wishful hope
    That today will be
    The day I long for

    I tap my foot
    I check my watch
    My heart beats
    As I wait unsure

    Will today be the day?
    I ask myself so quietly…
Then I take a long drawn breath
As I watch the changing world

    But soon it becomes clear
    As the sky slowly changes
And as the light fades away
    Darkness speaks so loudly

Today is not the day I long for
My wishful hope has gone unanswered
My heart slowly begins to crawl
As I sigh and pout in sorrow

    Perhaps tomorrow will be better
    I tell myself in reassurance
But in truth I am so tired of waiting,
I just want to live my life…

Matty the journey while tough only makes you appreciate the end result so much more. That which comes easy to us is soon forgotten. Stay the course and never give up

One foot in front of the other Matty. Never lose sight of your journey this far and reflect on the progress you have already made.
The road may seem long but am sure the world will open up for you in time.
