My Light

  • NB: I wrote this poem a very very long time ago for someone who is not here any more. I was never going to ever show it, but I decided I would post it. Sorry that its a sad poem.

    My light

    In the dark you were my light
    and as a light you guided me so,
    Out I came from the deep dark shadows
    Into a world of hope.

    A world full of dreams and possibilities
    A world full of love.
    Never again do I wish to return,
    Return back into the dark.

    So I thank you with all my heart
    With all my thoughts and all my love
    For that reason to exist I crave deep down
    And for that reason to wake up each morn.

    I use to think I wanted to vanish
    But now I think I have changed my mind.
    I promise to never forget you
    Please watch over me always…
