Stop for a moment

  • NB: I wrote this with some people I know in mind 🙂 I really hope they and everyone else enjoys it. I am so busy lately that having time to write is so limited but I promise once everything quiets down you will see all sorts of bits and pieces. =)

    Stop for a moment

    This world can be terrifying
    Full of expectations and uncertainty
    Worry can be consuming…
    Our successes overridden by failure.

We have to keep reminding ourselves…
That for every bad moment that comes,
There are good ones to match…
How the world is one day,
It might not be the next

That if we do not stop for a moment
Take a breath and look around…
Notice that beauty that surrounds us
And enjoy the world and its differences…

That we just may forget the good,
    Let time pass us by.
Then, before we know it… Its to late…
    Our memories are tainted…
And when we go to tell our stories
    They will only stir heartache.

So when you next feel broken
    Terrified, pressured, uncertain
    Consumed by worry and failure…
    Just… Stop for a moment.

    Remember the good moments past
Know the bad is just a phase
That even in the most darkest of places
    Happiness, beauty, joy…
    Can show up unexpectedly

Another great poem Matty…. joy and happiness is often just there and often hidden in the little things we take for granted like seeing the sun after a rainy day, a kind word someone has said or even waking up from a nap when you have a big sretch and decide the worls is delicious !!!!! Hehehe 🙂
