The Different Bear (Free Illustrated Children’s Book!)

On May 8th 2011 I wrote a story, it was a rushed concept story named different bear… about a bear who is… well He is different. Jaslyn Woo, a very talented artist and one of the most amazing and kind people I know saw this story and she said… I am going to illustrate this for you!
So that brings us to now! 2 years and 2 months later its finished… edited… and I am ready to share this wonderful creation that Jaslyn and I have made with the world. I really hope that you all enjoy it too.

About The Author
Matty is a 37 year old girl who is an Autistic Poet, Writer and Artist and lives alone in Christchurch New Zealand with a kitty! Matty has given many talks on autism and about being unique in a world that's often not accepting, Matty has also engaged with artist and worked on Art projects Matty usually works on an Art project at the same time as a writing one! This means posts can be a bit delayed!

What an adorable story, and so real. So many of us struggle with insecurity, and change because we’re afraid to be alone in our uniqueness. You’ve captured the essence of what it means to be an individual, and the real price that can incur. But you also bring hope through the brilliance of having faith, and just being yourself anyway. Well done, this is a charming story and the illustrations were simply perfect. 🙂
