Wednesday Art Adventures! – My Painting for my friend!

First, I want to say sorry for not posting much lately. There has been so much going on and I have not been feeling my best. But I am okay!! It just means things have been a bit slow lately!
So! Some of you have asked, “Matty, why no Wednesday updates of your art adventures” and the answer to that question is… I have been working on something super special!
You see, my friend Pip asked me a few weeks ago if I could paint her a painting… its not often I get asked for paintings! So I excitedly said yes! But… what to paint her?! I had to do a lot of thinking before I worked it out, but in the end I did and I felt silly it took me so long too!
I decided I would paint her a landscape painting! A painting based on of this beautiful place I went not to long ago called Rapaki Bay. Rapaki Bay is located here in my city of Christchurch in a small beautiful place called  Lyttelton and when I visited it made me smile. It took me 2 hours one week and 2 hours the next week to paint it… and a lot of thinking before, in-between and after. But finally its done and finally I can show it all to you.
Now before I show you, I want you all to remember that I see the world a little different to most people. So this is more an abstract simplified version of what I saw. Hehe, lets just call it Matty-Vision!! I hope you all enjoy it as much as Pip and I do!

Matty is a 37 year old girl who is an Autistic Poet, Writer and Artist and lives alone in Christchurch New Zealand with a kitty! Matty has given many talks on autism and about being unique in a world that's often not accepting, Matty has also engaged with artist and worked on Art projects Matty usually works on an Art project at the same time as a writing one! I really like that you put the photo in, too. It’s really neat to see the place, and see how you saw it and painted it, too! And, I love the painting, all the clear bright colors. Beautiful!
its a wonderfull painting maddy I saw lyttleton when I was there I think we lived there before we first moved to australa when I was little.. nx time I come to CHCH I will go see that bay ..it look peaceful..keep up the painting Maddy I love them big hugz to ya mwah
