A picture can be the perfect present! (Squirrel Drawing!)

A picture can be the perfect present!
When it comes to presents I always find it hard. Some people are easy, some are difficult… it doesn’t help that I am limited in what I can give and do. But I do know one thing… I love to share. I realized this a few years ago… I celebrated my friends birthday and got her a present. I had no idea that giving presents was fun! And since then I have discovered that you can give drawings as presents! Which is great! I love making cards and thinking up silly things!
Well as you all know Christmas is approaching, so presents are on my mind a lot! and I do mean a lot!!! Which is so strange since I have never really given out Christmas presents before… Anyway! So the last few days I have been working on presents and cards, which is why there have been no updates on my website (SORRY EVERYONE!)
To show you what I have been doing I have selected one of the presents I have done for someone and decided I will give it early.. hmm maybe I need to make something else for her… but I just feel the need to share! So here it goes!
The back-story to this is that my wonderifical and amazingly spectacular friend Amy T loves Squirrels, you may remember Amy T as the person I wrote a birthday poem for not to long ago. Amy and I are not in contact a whole bunches lot, but she is still a very special person and super important in the world of Matty like so, so many others.
A Girl Squirrel!
To draw this picture it took some time, I stayed up late last night and finished it. The reason it takes so long is because I have to do it in pencil first. That means a lot of rubbing, a lot of standing back from the paper and a lot of looking at photos! Once that is done I then have to ink it! This can be a bit troubling for if you leave the pen in one spot to long the ink will blotch up and soak into the paper. Finally when the ink is set I have to rub it all out! ACK! This is the worst part especially with the paper I have right now, this is because the paper is so soft that when I erase the remaining pencil lines I can take the paper off with it. Some of my drawings take days!
I am glad I finished it though!!! And I hope all of you love and enjoy it!! Especially you Amy T! Since it is for you!
Much love to you all and thank you for your continued support!
