The Fairy Wish (Poem)

  • NB: I wrote 2 fairy poems in the last few weeks, about wishes being best left… I like this more than the other one so I want to share it with you all!

    The Fairy Wish

I am not sure why I am me…
And not the fairy I wish to be,
But I know out there a Fairy sits
Thinking out wishes, as I have wished
    To be a me, a people big…
To do things I do without much think
And so I know that my “What if”
That my thoughts on such a fairy wish…
    Are okay, fun to have…
    Full of smiles and happiness
But that being me is still something great
    Something special, magical and grand…
I think that fairy would think the same
That wishes should be carefully planned
    So although I don’t know why I am me…
And fairy doesn’t why they are they
Both of us know our wishes are just that…
Wishes that are probably… just better left.

A very thoughtful and profound poem Matty. We are simply amazing and totally unique whoever we are, and wishing to be someone else is not a very bright thing to do 🙂
