Just her way (Poem)

  • NB: I put this in Dark but its not a dark poem, just as a feeling that I could not place

    Just her way

    She sat on a chair
    Alone in the dark
    Waiting and waiting…
    But unsure for what…

    Hoping and wishing,
    Thinking in silence
    She prayed in her mind
    That there be an answer

    But as time passed on
    The emptiness grew
    Tears appeared
And her mind began to wander…

    Thoughts and questions
    Ponders of sorrow
    As her heart slowly bittered
    To the confusion controlling

But she didn’t want to give up
    She didn’t want to believe
She had seen far to much
So she clung to that strength

Will what she’s waiting for come?
    Well… No one can say
    But she will keep enduring
    Because that’s just her way.

    Aww, really nice.

  • So much sadness in this poem, but with the strength to endure. And you and I know that, sooner or later, there will be joy again. Nothing lasts forever, not sadness, and not joy, either. But, they keep coming around, each in their turn! Love you, sweety.
