I HAVE A PET DRAGON

  • NB: =) Been so busy with the book I haven’t had a chance to post this yet. Hopefully those that pre-ordered have started to get copies now!! Hope you like this poem, it makes children I know laugh!

    I HAVE A PET DRAGON

    So I have this giant secret
    The most secret-est of secrets
    I really want to tell you…
    But please promise you won’t share.
    Well… Maybe just to people you trust.

    Okay…
    Ready? …
    Well …

    I HAVE A PET DRAGON!
    Yup, yup, yup… A DRAGON!
    Oh my gosh he is so cool!

    He is green with spikes!
    He likes to breathe fire!
    He has wings and can fly!
    He is a dragon alright!

    So? Why is this a secret?
    Well… There are a few issues
    And I am pretty sure…
    No one would let me keep him.

    For starters he can’t fit through doors.
    Believe me I have tried
    I spent ages pushing on his butt
    But he just wouldn’t budge!

    Also he eats a lot of food…
    I mean… A LOT… of food
    Like a whole truck load,
    Maybe two!

    He also makes a mess when he flies
    Like…  everything goes everywhere
    When he opens his wings…
    My gosh the wind is extreme!

    And of course not to mention
    The greatest problem of all
    When he sneezes he breathes fire,
    And well…
    It’s not the safest thing of all.

    There are other things too
    Probably a bunch more than I can think
    He is not the easiest pet to have
    But I’ve hidden him in the  outside shed.

    So… Yes… you know my secret
    I have a pet dragon!
    Just don’t tell nobody…
    Its my secret-est secret.

    Hehehe i love it. This would make an awesome book too, i can imagine some funny pictures to go with it. Very cool 🙂
