The Mirror

  • The Mirror

    Before my is a mirror
    Reflecting who I am
    I stare at it confused
    I don’t recognise whose there

Its a me that’s very different
One full of hope and dreams…
But it makes me start to wonder
Are those other “Me’s” still there?

    That confused terrified child
    That scared, alone teen
The young adult who was clueless
Are they still there inside this me?

If they are I hope they know
    Things are very different now
    That we are okay…
    Safe and free.

Ah, Matty. You are still there. All of you. Child, teen, adult. Take the goodness out of each of these. Hugs
