Scientifically Proven, Monsters ate my socks.
I swear by this story
Yes I do
They may say no, no, no
But I have proof
Monsters ate my socks
Yes indeed they did
I know this cause they disappeared
While I was asleep.
I know what you are thinking
There are other explanations, right?
But this is where I produce facts
I know what happened and I have proof
You see I went to sleep
Socks were on my feet
I felt them coming off…
Then poof, they were gone
I have done some investigating
And come to these conclusions
1) My socks just vanished
2) My blankets were thrown, Obviously a monster attack
3) Princess Nom Nom ran away scared, she must have seen the monster
4) There was a windy noise outside
As you can see, this is proof
Monsters ate my socks
You have been warned
Now go protect yours.

Another fun one for children. As I read this one to my three grandchildren aged 10 , 8 and 7 they reminded me about the other sock tale. So I found it for them (after having to read several children’s poems for them) and they snuggled in close to begin the washing machine ate my socks tale and I read the first three parts. Tomorrow we’ll have to continue from part 4. thank you Matty for writing for children too – they love your stories 🙂
