Its okay to be different (Childrens poem!)

  • NB: I had a very interesting shower tonight.

    Its okay to be different

I know you won’t believe me
But there’s something I must share
Now I know this sounds crazy…
So just listen till the end.

    I once saw a Tyrannosaurus-Rex, yes, A dinosaur I did!
It was coming down the street…
    But…
    Well…
    Get this…

It was on a unicycle! YES! A UNICYCLE!
It wore a bow-tie and a wonderful hat
He was playing a guitar with his rather short arms
And singing the best song I ever heard by far.

“I am different, I am me
I’m as a unique as a dinosaur can be,
Others say I’m strange, But that’s okay
Being yourself is so very very neat”

    And so when I worry
If its okay to like things different.
Like teddy bears when your “too old”
Or blocks when others like cats

    I say to myself,
    I know that its okay!
    I was 100% told so…
By a unicycle riding, bow-tie, hat wear, guitar playing singing dinosaur
And there’s no way you can be more different than that!
