A name on a stone (poem)

  • A name on a stone

    I am nothing
    A name on a stone
    Forgotten by all
    Who now roam

    I echo time
    To those who walk by
    Reminding all
    That time is cruel

    I am nothing
    A name on a stone
    Withering away
    In a world I don’t know…

Jim Croce sang a song about carrying a name. It’s all about doing it with pride and finding your way even if it gets you nowhere. Time isn’t cruel, it’s just indifferent. So you’ve got to make the most of it. Don’t be withering on us! Hugs.
