Holding faith to my heart (poem)

  • NB: I won’t lie, what happened to me those weeks ago still hurts and has left me feeling empty and hurt… it has left me with so many questions… and although I no longer feel bad for what happened. I guess pain takes a while to heal. I wrote this poem as my journey feels very bumpy right now.

Holding faith to my heart (poem)

    I cling to light
    As I step into darkness
Holding my faith to my heart.

    Hope and courage
    Wisdom and Strength
With these I try to endure

    Not knowing my path
    The when or the why
The how the what or the where

    Just taking my steps
    One by one
    Doing my best to survive…

    Will this end?
    I don’t know…
But I guess we will find out in time.

  • Hello Sweetie,
Such a lovely poem, from a lovely girl..Take baby steps. Friends are always there for you, only if you let them know what is going on. Remember, we can’t read minds. I’m always there for you, a phone call away or an IM away or a Skype away..I’m always just a Thought away, never further….

  • beautiful poem as usual, Matty. proud of you for sticking by your beliefs even though it resulted in you losing a friend. you’re a very special girl and there will definitely be more friends you will make who will realize that.
