Don’t know the steps.

  • I find myself lost inside my head

Everybody is dancing but I don’t know the steps

I stumble, wobble and crash as they stare

Keeping to a beat that makes no sense.

I look in awe, trying to understand

I just want to fit in and dance those steps.

But my brain let me, and it makes me sad.

If you literally mean dancing, anybody can learn. Ok, I’m not much of a dancer, but I can keep to the beat when I sing or play guitar.

But if you don’t exactly mean dancing, be assured that everybody else doesn’t know the steps either. Just do your best and don’t get downhearted.

  • Maybe the exact steps aren’t what’s important. Maybe just being there with them, participating with them, enjoying the movement and the music and the people: maybe that’s what’s important ??. With practice the steps will come, but, for now, moving is nice!
